pngtools software package provides series of tools for PNG (Portable Network Graphics) images, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pngtools
pngtools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pngtools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pngtools *
You will get with pngtools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
